Mr. Bauder earned his certification through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The CITP certification is a specialty designation that identifies CPAs with the unique ability to bridge between business and technology while meeting the strict requirements for a CPA license as well as additional training and experience in Emerging Trends, IT Assurance and Risk, Business Solutions, Data Analytics and Security and Privacy.
In order to receive the CITP credential, a candidate must have a minimum of 1,000 hours of business experience in information management and technology assurance within the five-year period preceding the date of the CPA credential application and have a minimum of 75 hours of information management and technology assurance related CPE. All hours must have been obtained within the 5-year period preceding the date of the credential application.
The CITP credential is awarded only to AICPA-member CPAs; thus, it mandates the highest professional standards of any IT credential. A CPA with this certification has a clear understanding of financial transaction work flows and is ideally suited to streamline business processes, maximize productivity and manage risk.
